Andrea Mueller

Andrea Mueller is an award-winning contemporary artist, creative event manager and art instructor based in Whistler, B.C Canada. Voted Whistlers favourite artist in the Piques annual Best of Whistler awards for 2021, makes this her fourth consecutive year.

Andrea is a Fine Art graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto Ontario, one of the top two Fine Art schools in Canada and sister school to Emily Carr. Andrea has over 20 years' experience working as a professional artist and art instructor, She offers regular Paint Nights, private creative events and kids programming in Whistler B.C.  Her work is inspired by the mountains, the ocean, the animals and the forests. She is constantly covered in paint, feeding her soul through travel, exploration and art creation.

With a love of nature, the bold colourful imagery is infused with a spirit of excitement.  At a time when our busy lives and urban communities often take us away from the natural world, her work brings us back to our basic need to re-connect emotionally with our environment. Andrea is proud to be part of a group of artists who are inspired by their surroundings and who’s artwork is iconic to the West Coast of British Columbia. 

Andrea was the 2019 Feature artist for Whistler Blackcomb and created the artwork for the 2019 Hoji Ski Series for 4FRNT skis.  Her work can be found in many local shops, restaurants and hotels as well as up at the Roundhouse on Whistler Mountain. Andrea has worked with many clients including Roxy, 4FRNT, Corona, Clifbar, Canadian Soccer Association and Whistler Blackcomb.

Audain Art Museum

Established in 2016, the Audain Art Museum is a leading arts organization founded upon the major philanthropic gift of Michael Audain and Yoshiko Karasawa. Located in Whistler, British Columbia and designed by the internationally-renowned firm Patkau Architects, the AAM boasts a comprehensive Permanent Collection of the province’s most celebrated artists.

Exemplifying the richness of cultural difference in Canada, the collection takes visitors on a transformative visual journey from the late 18th century to present.

Highlights include hereditary Haida Chief James Hart’s The Dance Screen (The Scream Too), an exceptional collection of historical and contemporary Indigenous masks, the largest permanent display of paintings by Emily Carr, and key examples of the Vancouver photo conceptualism movement. In addition, the Museum hosts dynamic exhibitions from around the world.

Backcountry Brewing

This team of owner-operators joined forces in 2015 shortly after a fateful Christmas party where they met and realized they each had a different piece of the puzzle to opening a brewery. Combining forces, this new group of friends decided on brewing in the beautiful mountain town of Squamish BC, head brewer John Folinsbee’s home town. Since opening the production brewery, tasting room, kitchen and retail store in 2017, Backcountry has found a nice groove in BC’s craft beer scene.  At the BC Beer awards that same year, Backcountry was awarded “Rookie of the year” with medals for all three core beers as well as “Best Social Media”.

As the years passed the brewery has continually expanded production to meet the needs of beer lovers across the province. In 2022, Backcountry plans to release over 90 different limited release beers on top of the year-round beers Widowmaker IPA, Trailbreaker Pale Ale and Ridgerunner Pilsner. The attached retail store has a massive selection of cans along with a healthy selection of branded merchandise as well as the fan favourite beer infused hot sauce.

The team was then joined by red seal chef Jules Laporte who has built out a menu of creative pizzas, salads and snacks for the 70’s ski cabin inspired tasting room. In the fall of 2022 we expanded our seating area by opening the “The Barrel Lounge”, a cozy 38 seat room just down the hall. Come spring 2023 will be the addition of a much-anticipated patio ! Dave Petko Art

For 5000 years Dave "Pepe" Petko has been a slave to a pencil, brush and pen; carving a life for himself as an original Whistler artist. like a thoroughbreed racehorse he pushes forward with blinders on in a quest to see his artistic style evolve from being inspired to being an inspiration to many generations of artists. Late nights when the full moon is full and creatures of the night roam about, when the humans sleep and spirits haunt, he awakens and creates.
